A break from Voelker

Today we took a break from the The Intruder to print some other job work. I’ve been getting a couple of jobs from the Michigan DNR Archives, today we reprinted the promotional material originally made for the very first “Michigan Day” back in the 1950s, here it is reproduced for an A2 size card.

Here’s a pic of the last job done for the state as well, it’s an ongoing series of all the Michigan trout stamps issued before we went to plasticy nasty junk and “all species” licenses. These will culminate in a book next year with an introduction by Jerry Dennis.

Over the weekend work continued on the new studio space in the lower garage. With luck the drywall will be finished up tomorrow and then finally it’s time for the big press shuffle.

I visited my new (old) Heidelberg Windmill press today dropping off the check and bringing home some of the small stuff. Also shown is a Vandercook No. 1 I’ve been asked to help restore for my old alma mater.
